Working Together
We built The Bridge of Lights for the people you support every day. This page is for you.
If you work in bereavement, grief support, hospice care or funeral services, you already know something most people don't — that grief doesn't end when the world expects it to, and that the people carrying it often need somewhere to go when no one is watching.
The Bridge of Lights is that somewhere.
A permanent digital memorial. One million candle spaces. A name, some years, a few words. There permanently. No algorithm deciding when someone is forgotten. No timeline. No noise. Just their light, there, whenever the person who loved them needs to find it.
We're not asking you to sell anything. We're asking whether the families and individuals you support might find comfort in knowing it exists.
What it is
The Bridge of Lights is a permanent online memorial where anyone can light a candle for someone they've lost. Each candle carries a name, a date, and a personal message. Each one has a unique number — a fixed point on the bridge that can be found and returned to at any time, from anywhere in the world.
It costs £1 to light a candle. There is no subscription, no account required, no ongoing cost. The candle stays on the bridge permanently.
Families separated by distance can visit the same candle from wherever they are. A daughter in London and an aunt in Ireland can both find the same light, on the same bridge, whenever they need it.
Why professionals trust it
Before we launched, we spoke at length with people working in grief and bereavement support every day. We wanted to make sure The Bridge of Lights was genuinely helpful — and that it caused no harm.
Those conversations shaped the site profoundly. The Bridge of Lights is built by someone who lost people he loved and guided by people who understand what bereaved families actually need.
The charity commitment
We're raising £100,000 for UK bereavement charities. A minimum of 10p per transaction on The Bridge of Lights goes directly to them.
We believe that a site built for grieving people should actively support the organisations that walk alongside them. This isn't a gesture - it's built into how the site works from the very first candle.
If you represent a bereavement charity and would like to discuss a partnership, we would welcome that conversation.
How you can help
We're not asking for endorsement. We're asking for something smaller and more meaningful than that.
If you believe a family you're supporting might find comfort in lighting a permanent candle for someone they've lost - simply tell them it exists. That's all.
If it feels right to leave our leaflet in your waiting room, on your reception desk, or on your noticeboard, we'll send you as many as you need, free of charge, posted directly to you.
If you'd like to discuss a more formal partnership — whether that's inclusion in your resources, a mention in your newsletter, or something we haven't thought of yet — we'd love to hear from you.
Request a free pack
We'll send you a printed information pack - including leaflets, a poster and everything you need to share The Bridge of Lights with the people you support. There's no cost and no obligation.
Know someone who makes something that helps?

Every flame on the bridge is someone who was deeply loved and is deeply missed. Thank you for the work you do to help the people left behind.
